Yurie Bae is a founding member of DeWeese & Bae, LLC. Her practice is focused on commercial litigation and labor & employment. Yurie has broad experience managing and resolving a broad spectrum of disputes, including class action, commercial, employment, antitrust, and securities litigation. She has experience with with commercial arbitration and mediation in the U.S. and abroad as well. After receiving her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2007, Yurie represented one of the largest Georgia state government agencies in contract and employment matters. Prior to founding DeWeese & Bae, LLC, Yurie was litigation counsel for one of the largest electronics manufacturers in the world, representing the company in connection with litigation and government investigations in various jurisdictions.

Defended corporation in wage and hour action and obtained highly favorable settlement through pursuit of counterclaims and creative negotiation

Participated in defense of multi-district antitrust class action filed by direct and indirect purchasers alleging nearly $2 billion in damages.

Successfully resolved numerous antitrust and unfair competition suits brought by state attorneys general and corporate plaintiffs.

Participated in defense in trial to verdict of $40 million price fixing claim brought by national retailer.

Successfully resolved a securities class action and obtained a full arbitral award against the client's D&O policy insurer for the related insurance coverage claim.

Provided strategic pre-litigation advice to client in connection with commercial disputes arising from supply agreements, purchase agreements, development agreements, joint venture agreements, and arbitration agreements.

Represented client in investigations launched by the European Commission, Korea Fair Trade Commission and other national competition authorities and appeal of imposed fines.

Represented Georgia state agency in court and in administrative hearings in connection with various employment claims, including discrimination and wrongful termination; participated in internal investigations and recommended appropriate adverse actions in connection wtih employee misconduct.
